Before your specification appointment, we would ask you to think carefully about what you do and do not require in your park home so that you have all the required information for your visit. You can of course, visit the Homemaker Centre at any
time beforehand to get some ideas, however, we do not require you to undertake a specification until your current home is actually sold, subject to contract.
When you arrive at the Homemaker Centre, a Tingdene Homes Sales Representative will guide you through the specification. This will then be costed and prepared along with a detailed floor plan of the park home and a plot diagram.
These will usually be sent to you for your approval within approximately two weeks of your visit.
We request that you keep us informed of the progress of your house sale. As soon as you have any possible exchange and completion dates, please let us know straight away. This will help us plan ahead for the production process of your new home and to try and achieve the earliest completion date for you. If we are not kept informed of the situation, it could delay the production of your home. On exchange of contracts of your current property, we will require a letter from your solicitor as confirmation of this and also a further deposit equal to 10% of the final turnkey cost of your park home. Once these are received, we can then confirm your home up as an order and will be able to give you an approximate completion date for your new park home.
Two or three weeks before the anticipated completion date, an invoice showing the amount due, less any deposits paid and receipted will be sent to you. This will confirm the anticipated completion date and also detail how the outstanding funds can be paid. It should be noted that completion/occupation of the home will be unable to take place until the full balance of funds have been cleared into
our account.
On the day of completion, a Tingdene Representative will meet you at the park office and pending the satisfactory transfer of funds, two copies of the Written Statement under the Mobile Homes Act 1983 will need to be signed by you.
The park office will retain one copy and the other is for your own records.
