5 ways to make the most of life on the park
We reflect on some of the advantages of park home living and how to make the most out of your life on the park.
1. New light
Get up early, find your favourite spot in your town or city and watch the sun paint the sky with colour. It’s been known that a bit of sunrise or sunset therapy can do wonders for your mental health. Maybe even a spot of morning yoga would help get your day off to a good start.
2. Fresh flowers
Why not take some fresh clippings from your garden or pop down your local supermarket and buy a fresh bunch for your dining room table? You don’t need to wait for a special occasion to treat yourself and it’s perfect for boosting your spirits!
3. Tourist in town!
You’ll be surprised how much you don’t know about the town or city you spend most of your life in. We suggest visiting your nearest tourist information office, picking up a few brochures and spending the day exploring. No doubt you’ll find fun events and interesting places that you didn’t previously know existed right there on your doorstep.
4. A novel in a day
There’s no better way to shed your worries than experience a whole day of pure escapism! Take a day free to sit down with a nice cup of tea (or three) and a great book. Stay in a flow without disruption and enjoy a fantastic work of fact or fiction.
5. Build friendships
If you’ve moved to the park recently and found a great community of like-minded people, why not make one of them a friendly contact. Random acts of kindness and small courtesies can make someone’s day and perk them up no end. Don’t hold back. Let people know you care. Invite someone over for a coffee or a game of cards. You never know when someone can really use some company and a friendly community on the park can be illuminating!
